"Hijabi Hippie Hypo" is the ramblings of my 20 year old self. The name "hippie hypo" stems from a nickname my family call me, and "Nuby" is also a nickname. (Hijabi refers to a Muslim woman who wears the headscarf.)
I'm a Brit-Asian living with the Autoimmune type of Hypothyroidism, an underactive thyroid gland. I also have vitamin D deficiency and anaemia. It's been three years since I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism; so I was diagnosed at 16. It's been a rough ride getting here, but I'm still on the path to acceptance. I made this video to mark three years since I've been diagnosed:
I study Economics at University and hope to pursue a career in finance or business. I'm an aspiring entrepreneur.
I believe that everything we go through in life is a test, and although I may have some illnesses, they generally do not stop me doing the daily activities that I need to do, so I have so much to be grateful for.
Don't judge me by my blog; this place just contains a fraction of my personality and thoughts. It will only give you a small insight into the real me. As you can probably tell by now, I will and do blog about anything and everything. I have been known to neglect this blog during exam time, apologies for that in advance. I am a very creative person by nature; I see myself as a deep thinker. I love written words for helping me to express what I want to get across to my readers. Words are so powerful.
