Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery

Inshallah I'm going to have surgery on my hand tomorrow to correct my CTS. (Click here for the original post I did a while back). 

To sum it up, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is numbness or tingling in the fingers due to compresion on a nerve (the median nerve) that enters the hand:

I've had this for a while now. Normally middle-aged people get it, but being hypothyroid gives me a predisposition to getting it anyway. Even though the nerve conduction test showed that I had "mild irritation", my consultant agreed to surgery- which I was very surprised about but Alhamdulillah he agreed!

So my surgery is tomorrow! I'm a little nervous about what's going to happen and a little worried as to how much I may not be able to do after the op, but mainly I'm making lots of du'a that it goes smoothly without any complications Inshallah.

It is a very quick procedure and is a day case so Alhamdulillah I wont have to stay overnight.

It's a small incision in the palm of my hand and all he will do is cut the carpal tunnel to relieve pressure from the nerve.
