New additions to the family, Clothes Shopping & Giveaway update

1) New additions to the family

I haven't talked about this before, but, I have a fetish for rings. All shapes and colours. The main thing is; they have to be big. I don't do small rings. It started off a couple of years back and I have accumulated quite a collection. My Mum always says me and my big Sister are like "magpies"- i.e. we collect shiny, sparkly things. I guess that's correct. I only ever met one person with a similar ring obsession, and she mentioned how being a big girl, it's easier to shop for jewellery than clothes. I couldn't agree with her more. For me, my rings are my little touch of femininity, sparkle and elegance. I bought three new rings this week:

Starfish ring :)

Gold rose

Scrabble ring!

2) Clothes shopping

After having a rant about how I had no clothes (I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this!), I was given some money and ordered to go shopping. It felt like a bit of a chore to be honest, which is weird cos I normally heart clothes shopping. It tires me out though- the lugging around clothes through the store, the massive queues for the changing rooms (typical of Primark!) and then the massive queues to pay.

I reluctantly decided to go yesterday (saturday)- which is usually the busiest day. However, I think the rain put most people off. So much so that Primark was the quietest I've ever seen it! There was NO, I repeat no queue for the changing rooms! It felt like a dream. After much moody traipsing around, I found six items and tried them on. Out of the six, three fit perfectly so I bought them. I then went to Peacock's to have a look and bought one item from there. All in all, a pretty successful trip Alhamdulillah.

So this is a kind of "haul"- pictures of what I bought yesterday:

Denim Dress. £16 Peacock's. Makes me think of Summer :D

Navy blue wool full sleeved dress

Black dress with flamingo print

Close up of the flamingo's

This is a rust/brick (dark orange) colour, but didn't come out right on my camera
3) Giveaway

My blog's birthday is the 22nd January, and I'm having a giveaway to celebrate. I haven't had time to go out and buy the prizes, but will do soon inshaAllah and will post details of how to enter etc. (I was going to buy the stuff yesterday but I'd have got too tired out plus I had to get back so my mum could go food shopping.) So keep your eyes pealed for that! :) should be good

My Mum has discovered a satellite channel 'gems.tv'. I should mention that she loves rings. She now happily rings ups and charges purchases to my credit card. When I ask her what she's going to do with so many rings (she has 22 at last count accumulated over the years) She asks me what I'm going to do with so many shoes. I have 63 pairs.
Mothers ftw.

Thanks for your comment! Your pic is making me drool btw! *waffles* mmmm. Anyway, yeah shoes, rings, I guess everyone has some sort of fetish that they collect lots of. I probs have more than 22, but I'm guessing your Mum buys the more expensive gemstone rings.

Oh wow. Big rings. I have like one ring. I wear it so much, it's pretty much a part of me, and if I ever forget it at home / forget to wear it (happens rarely), it feels sooo weird, as if something is missing.

And scrabble rings? :D. Never heard of those before.

No clothes? :P. Is this a girls thing, that I probably wouldn't understand?

@Nas: Me too, I feel akward without a ring on! Haha yes it is definitely a girls thing.

@Fatimah: Thanks! Necklaces don't do it for me lol

@Smiley: Yay I've found another person who shares my fetish! You'll have to post some pics of yours sometime. Thanks! :)
