Wedding

Firstly, sorry for the lack of blogging. I have been actually itching to blog, but I haven't been able to as I have test at Uni next week, and have been just inundated with revision and other work.

So, last week, I went to a family-friend's wedding. Although I was initally reluctant to go, I decided it would be best to go, particularly due to Anya's comment. I didn't go for the "free food" aspect, since the music was so loud I barely ate much due to a massive migraine. But all in all, it was pretty good. I liked how they did the Nikaah (Islamic wedding) on stage, and it was nice to hear the prayers and see the Islamic side of things; rather than the cultural. (Sometimes the Nikaah is done earlier on at a mosque with just relatives there). It was nice as the Imam reiterated how marriage is half your deen and part of the Sunnah (actions that the Prophet Muhammad saws did), which is sometimes forgotten, and when you think about it, it's quite overwhelming.

We saw loads of old friends and relatives, and it was a nice re-union. The best part, which I did not expect is that my PRIMARY school headteacher was there! We went to say Hi to her and incredibly, 8/9 years on, she still remembered us! All-in-all, it was a nice evening.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling on, here are the all-important pictures:

Shoddy paint job! Just wanted to show how I used
